The intervention is a multimedia summary of the research, hypothesis and proposal of a thesis project.
It is intended to be experienced through the eyes of a sweat shop employee. The viewer is seated within a darkened enclosure with only the video screen visible. They are subjected to deafening volumes of noise and required to wear a dust mask infused with the putrid smells of a crowded, damp and unhygenic garment factory. The intention is to shock the viewer with the stark reality of a sweatshop environment to ensure the intervention has a lasting and thought-provoking impact.
